About
Welcome to Gosto Cafe, a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Madrid at C. del Leon, 30. This vibrant café offers a haven for breakfast and brunch lovers alike, boasting a cozy ambiance accentuated by lush greenery. As a food reviewer for Menu Buzz, I can't help but be drawn to places that blend great food with a warm atmosphere, and Gosto Cafe does just that.
Upon entering, you'll be greeted by friendly staff and a beautifully designed interior that immediately creates a welcoming vibe. The space is particularly appealing for those looking to relax over a cup of coffee, although it’s worth noting that the café discourages laptop use—an interesting choice that encourages patrons to enjoy the moment and engage in conversation.
While customer reviews highlight a mixed bag regarding menu availability, many still rave about the quality of the food and drinks. One reviewer, Ahmed Alhussami, praised their cappuccino and flat white, claiming they were the highlights of his breakfasts there. And for good reason! Made with a Marzocco machine, these coffees promise robust flavors that can energize your day.
The brunch offerings are particularly noteworthy. The avocado toast has enticingly earned its spot as a favorite, with guests like Sofia Giorgi Visani relishing its taste. Meanwhile, the Turkish eggs come highly recommended for those seeking something unique and flavorful, as captured in Samir Adatia's enthusiastic appreciation. Whether you’re in the mood for a light snack or a more substantial meal, Gosto Cafe provides options that cater to every palate.
However, some diners have pointed out that certain items may no longer be available or have seen a price increase, likely influenced by recent inflation trends. Nonetheless, the charm of Gosto Cafe lies not just in the food, but in the experience of sharing a meal in an inviting atmosphere. As one reviewer aptly noted, it feels like home away from home.
In conclusion, Gosto Cafe is a delightful spot perfect for starting your day or enjoying a lazy brunch. With its inviting ambiance, friendly staff, and a solid selection of coffees and dishes, it invites you to unwind and savor your time. Make sure to pay a visit the next time you're in Madrid—we believe it has something special just waiting for you!
“ I have to admit that I dropped by because of the reviews, but most of the mentioned things weren’t available anymore (no Baba ganoush!). I guess the menu has changed, and so did the prices, at least by 2€ a meal (inflation, huh?). In the end, I liked the sandwich I ordered, but I can’t say that it would’ve been my first choice normally. Coffee is okay. The vibe is also okay - they don’t allow using laptops, so I saw some people leaving because of it. ”
“ We stayed at a hotel nearby for a few days. Gosto was our neighbourhood coffee shop. It’s a beautiful interior, great / friendly staff, great coffee (Marzocco machine!) and a variety of choices for breakfast. What more can you ask for? It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home in a strange place .. instantly. Thank you to all our amigos at Gosto! … the cinnamon roll was good, but the Turkish eggs were OUTstanding! We also tried Avocado toast, and Banana bread. Very good spot for a good start every day! ”
“ Very cool place to have breakfast or brunch in the evening! I found it on the way from my hotel to the museum and it was a nice find ! I had an avocado toast and a cafè con leche and it was like 12€ ! Such a beautiful place, surely will come back ! ”
“ Fantastic coffee alert! But honestly, till this very day, this is the best coffee I have ever had in Madrid. Really, well done, folks. Have not tried much from the food menu. Mostly had granola bowls, absolutely nothing negative I can say about them. All were up to the highest standard. Thanks a lot. Will definitely come back! ”
“ Gosto cafe Well ! This is the third visit to Gosto. It was a little busy in my first visit on a rainy day in Madrid, so I gad my coffee to go. During the second and third visits, I had my breakfast, and the food came out pretty delicious. If you're looking for a light breakfast or a brunch, this is a preferable spot to stop and fuel your stomach. The cappuccino and flat white, in my opinion, were the highlight. ”
“ The ambiance is good. There’s plenty of plants. But during heatwave an AC will be appreciated. The food is pricey, I don’t know how special the coffee is but I think it’s too much for its price. I ordered banana bread and it’s also pricey. ”
